The Maryland Outlaws organization is a not for profit company. All of our team members, including management, coaches, team assistants and training staff members work for us on a volunteer basis.

In Frederick, Maryland, championship football has been around for a long time, with very little fanfare. The Maryland Outlaws are a spring season minor league football team that traces its history back to the semi-pro heydays of the late 1960s and 1970s. The first semi-pro team to come to Frederick was founded circa 1963 as the Frederick Falcons. They developed a huge following when Frederick was a quaint little town and went on to the championship of the Continental Interstate Football League on numerous occasions. They gained national recognition as one of the best semi-pro football teams of their era, all the way through the 1980s. The team folded in the 1990s. In 2003, semi-pro football returned to Frederick as a new organization named the Frederick Outlaws. After 5 championship seasons, the Frederick Outlaws started developing a wider fan base, and decided to relaunch their team, with representation of the entire state. The new Maryland Outlaws will continue the winning tradition, and begin their chase for their 6th championship, their first under their new name.

The Outlaws have been a member of the Diamond Football League (DFL) and currently the East Coast Football Association (ECFA). The ECFA is a network of minor league football teams located within the Mid-Atlantic Region. The teams consist of 60 players who are not paid, but instead, pay to play the sport they love. The Outlaws organization has won five League Championship Titles, six Conference Titles, seven Division Titles and have appeared in eight playoffs in a span of nine years.

The Maryland Outlaws Football Organization was founded upon a belief that sports, and especially football can be used beyond just an entertainment level. We feel that sports is the driving force that helps to bring both wholesome entertainment as well as bridge gaps between people and groups from all different backgrounds. Many times, sports, such as football is also used as a tool to reach out to communities and the youth. It is our goal as an organization to build relationships with local community members as well as the surrounding businesses to foster a reciprocal relationship between the Outlaws and the community in which we live.

Our team goal for 2011-2012 season is to obtain the sponsorship donations that will enable us to pay for jerseys, team travel, and stadium rental expenses. In addition, we will use donations to give back to the youth in the community through Outlaw merchandise give a-ways at community events.

Sponsoring the Maryland Outlaws can benefit your company through our growing fan base, highly successful social media and web presence, local community involvement and national recognition. This partnership would allow us to build our fan base through team marketing, promotions, giveaways, community events, and special events at home games.
